Voca is a business-to-business (B2B) software platform that provides an AI-powered voice receptionist for local service professionals, including landscapers, plumbers, and HVAC technicians. When a caller interacts with our AI voice receptionist, we may collect the following information:
- Caller name — as provided by the caller during the conversation
- Phone number — the number from which the call originates
- City or location — if provided by the caller
- Service requested — the type of service the caller is inquiring about
- Call summary — a brief AI-generated summary of the conversation
We also collect account information (email address and password) from business owners who register for a Voca dashboard account.
3. How We Use Your Information
We collect names, phone numbers, and call details via our AI voice receptionist solely to provide lead notifications to the business owner. Specifically, we use this information to:
- Deliver real-time lead alerts to the business owner via SMS and email
- Display lead information on the business owner's secure dashboard
- Improve the quality and accuracy of our AI receptionist service
4. SMS / Text Messaging
Voca may send SMS notifications to business owners to alert them of new leads captured by the AI receptionist. By opting in to SMS notifications, you consent to receive these automated text messages at the phone number you provide.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With the business owner who subscribes to Voca, so they can follow up on leads generated through their AI receptionist
- With trusted service providers who assist us in operating our platform (e.g., hosting, SMS delivery), under strict confidentiality agreements
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption provided by Supabase for data storage and transmission. Our security practices include:
- Encryption of data at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Secure authentication with JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
- Role-based access controls to limit data access to authorized personnel
- Regular security reviews and updates
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain lead data for as long as the business owner's account remains active, or as needed to provide our services. If a business owner closes their account, we will delete associated lead data within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
